CONNECT:
- Read Matthew 3:1-12. What can we learn about John the Baptist? How was he different from other teachers of his day? (Ref. John 1:19-24)
- Discuss the impact of John’s ministry in his day. How would he have been received today?
- How do you define success? Respond to the statement: “How you define success will determine your purpose in life.”
- Read Philippians 3:13 – 15. Describe the attitude of the apostle Paul and how it can help in clarifying purpose and change behavior.
